"The most beautiful casino in the world", was how Marlene Dietrich described Germany's oldest casino. See for yourself, it's true what she said.

When night falls in Baden-Baden, the Kurhaus with its elegant casino reveals its best side: radiant and full of life.
At the casino, ‘rien ne va plus’ (no more bets) only applies to gambling. Otherwise, the sky’s the limit here.

The gambling options are both diverse and exotic, with roulette, blackjack, poker and punto banco awaiting you in the shimmering belle époque environment of the large gambling hall. However, if you prefer to gamble in a more intimate, almost private setting, then switch to the new Club Bernstein, where you can also play poker and roulette.
Casino Baden-Baden has managed to create an environment in which inspiration arises and can be further developed and applied as a basis for creativity and relaxation. And this is a proud tradition in Baden-Baden, as gambling has always been part of a large production here, boasting flair, splendour, style and charm – attributes which to this day still make Baden-Baden so attractive and unmistakable.
In the days of the belle époque, the international jet set flocked to Baden-Baden, including Russian state council members, English lords, plantation owners from Java, literary figures and composers from Paris and Moscow. Not much has changed since then. Well-known names from business, society and politics, stars and celebrities, ‘it girls’ and visitors from near and far have played their roles.

Our most famous visitor to the casino
In its day, Baden-Baden was the place to be in Europe for the social elite. With the arrival of bath tourism, wealthy writers, composers and actors eagerly set off for new shores and many stayed forever, including Fyodor Mikhailovich Dostoyevsky (1821–1881), who is considered to be one of the most important Russian writers and one of the most outstanding psychologists in world literature. The Gambler, one of his best-known novels, is also somewhat biographical in nature.
International star and style icon Marlene Dietrich christened Baden-Baden’s central and exclusive social hot spot in the elegant Kurhaus ‘the world’s best casino’ and then, in her very own direct way, added: ‘I should know, as I’ve seen them all ...’ Who in their right mind would contradict this woman? After all, the ‘Blue Angel’, which she played in a 1930 film by director Josef von Sternberg and which made her an international star, was selected by the American Film Institute in 1999 as one of the 25 greatest female screen legends of all time.
And, indeed, if you’ve ever had the opportunity to explore the dazzling splendour of the belle époque and experience its exclusive blend of history, tradition, style and elegance, you’re sure to agree that Marlene Dietrich is the right choice. Emperors and kings, including the Shah of Persia and the Windsors, famous literary figures and composers, and unforgettable film stars, including Hollywood legends Kirk Douglas and Curd Jürgens, have dined, gambled and enjoyed themselves in this unique atmosphere, giving the town its unique social lustre, the magic of which still exists to this day. Like many of their illustrious guests, the world-renowned spa town of Baden-Baden and its glamorous casino have become legends.
To this day, Germany’s oldest casino is still one of the most popular destinations in Europe, a hot spot for the world’s high society and all of those who would like to be a part of it for a few unforgettable moments.
Shows and concerts, classical and rock, dance and party – every day at Casino Baden-Baden is a social highlight. In other words, the casino is the ultimate place to be for night owls. You get together, converse and delve into an unbelievably vibrant world, a lively mix of tradition, history and modernity – an extraordinary venue filled with opportunities.
