Description
The gallery LÄNDE can look back on an eventful history: once intended as a horse stable by Baron von Aufsess, the founder of the Germanic Museum in Nuremberg, used as a military hospital during the war and then as a youth hostel, in the 1970s the estate was a home for foreign families and accommodation for non-residents. Today, the LÄNDE is home to art: the museum houses central parts of the life's work of the artists Hilde Broer, Marta Hoepffner, Berthold Müller-Oerlinghausen, Leo Schobinger and Otto Valentien, who are known beyond our region; their works are mostly presented in the summer months. The exhibition initiatives include photography as well as the promotion of young innovative art, both cross-border projects and local references or themes of cultural and local history. In this context, the aim is to promote contemporary art, to enable new perspectives and therefore to contribute to the cultural vitality of the region. The operational support of the LÄNDE is provided by the art working group of the cultural community in Kressbronn a. B., a well-established network of committed citizens interested in art, who are responsible for the programme and exhibition work.
