At 1.5km, it is the longest cable car route in Germany. The top station Königstuhl is 550 metres above sea level and the ride up is an amazing experience. The upper section to Königstuhl is also the oldest cable car in Germany and this section is accessible to those in wheelchairs. It is, however, advisable to go with a companion as there is no wheelchair lift due to heritage site protection. The cable car up to Molkenkur Station is the most modern cable car of German and is accessible for those with limited mobility.
