On the south-west side of Hohenstaufen are the striking Weißjura rocks of Spielburg Castle, which slid down from Hohenstaufen as a floe around 2.5 million years ago.
Today, this floe area has developed into an impressive vantage point, with rocks that reach a height of 15 metres. From here, there is a breathtaking panoramic view over valleys and meadows. On a clear day, the view even extends as far as the state capital.
During the day, you can enjoy the idyllic peace and quiet above the rooftops of Göppingen. In the evening, romantic moments under the twinkling starry sky can be enjoyed on the play castle.
