The lowland castle on the valley slope was built between 1100 and 1150 and fell into disrepair in the 14th century. Nothing is known about the builders and inhabitants of the castle. In 1544, the castle was mentioned in a boundary description. Of the former castle complex, which had a core castle with a residential tower (with an annex) and a front castle as well as a courtyard, a surrounding wall and a moat, the remains of the residential tower and the moat are still preserved.
