the ruin was built near Ringingen in the middle of the 12. century. It was inhabited until the 14. century. it was the main ruin of the knight Heinrich von Killer, also known as Affenschmalz, who was a cavalry leader in Italy. He died in 1413 and was buried in Martinskirche in Albstadt-Ebingen. The ruin is a small complex who consists of 1 building (residential tower). The tower used to measure 7*10 meters. The outer walls are still preserved of 6m height. A wide ditch separates the castle rock from the slope. An outher castle wasn't found yet.
