The Schertelshöhle is located in theäfirst north-west of the Alb-Donau district on the Laichinger Alb near Westerheim, in a beautiful forest and hiking area. Descend into one of the most impressive show caves in the Swabian Alb and be amazed by the breathtaking stalactite formations. During a 25-minute guided tour of the cave, you will be guided through the 212-metre-long stalactite cave on well-lit and easy-to-walk paths and learn interesting facts about the history of the cave. Afterwards, you can fortify yourself with a small snack in the hut restaurant. Nearby there is a barbecue area and a playground.
Since 2016, the Schertelshöhle, the Steinerne Haus and the Burkhardtshöhle have been Geopoint of the Geopark Schwäbische Alb.
