The main museum (Hauptmuseum) is located in Karlsruhe Palace. Its main exhibition examines developments from prehistoric and ancients times up until the absolute monarchy. The collections are complemented by regular series of special exhibitions, such as exhibitions on the Orient or the Neolithic Age.
The museum adheres closely to its philosophy of ‘A focus on people’ with the vivid and memorable design of its collections and temporary exhibitions.
