The Hiss wine lines, the sun-drenched Kaiserstuhl, pleasure & joie de vivre and a refreshing lightness formed the collage of elements for the new creations. The impulse for the new graphics came from the Hiss wine line the "independent" ones, which let you recognize the grape and the region with every sip, the "down-to-earth" ones, because they are strong in character and reliable, the "consistent" fruit brandies and finally the "indecent" ones. In the search for a suitable motif, the triptych "The Garden of Delights" by the Dutch painter Hieronymus Bosch was encountered. Freely interpreted, motifs and figures can be found today on bottle labels and in the wine house.
The wine house of Alexandra & Andreas Hiss tells the story of Hiss, the Kaiserstuhl and the Baden joie de vivre in a modern and sensual way. It is an innovative architecture with extensive functionality that reinterprets aspects of the regional building tradition. Wooden elements of the façade recall the characteristic half-timbered buildings, while the modern use of glass opens the building to the outside. The split-level concept has gained additional space while optimizing the spatial experience. The building is crowned by the roof terrace. With 120 square meters and its own seating grandstand, it is the most exclusive of the wine house's numerous event areas. The new building turns the visitor into a discoverer. Like the different facets of wine, materials and levels flow into each other to create something that is more than the sum of its parts, the story that makes the architecture tangible with all the senses.
