Both play a work of reconciliation. A long-standing dispute between Johannes Brahms and his friend Joachim led to Brahms' Double Concerto for violin, cello and orchestra.
The role of the composer is played by the cello, that of Joachim by the violin. You can hear well how the alienated Brahms caricatures himself sawing and grumbling in the bass, and then, in the slow movement, for example, finds unanimity with the violin, which points to reconciliation.
Now that's a funny work in a minor key!
