In this themed tour, you will learn interesting facts about the criteria defined in the context of the application, the tangible and intangible heritage of the city: Baden-Baden looks back on a rich cultural history since antiquity. Its heyday as the "summer capital of Europe" in the 19th century is still reflected in the cityscape today. During this time, Baden-Baden was one of the world's leading European spa towns. This was reflected, among other things, in its specific urban development, which can still be experienced today as a special type of city.
Since summer 2021, Baden-Baden has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site as part of the "Great Spas of Europe", together with ten other European spa towns.
