Since 1919 men and women have been building ships in the shipyard halls, since 2020 the halls shine bright and friendly, only the dimensions, a slipway and old machines remind us of the times of the Bodan shipyard, when large ships were built here, not only for Lake Constance.

To interpret the classic, regional cuisine in a modern way, that is what the three brothers - the Werftbuben - have written on the sails of the Werft1919. For them, too, the familiar, homely cuisine is simply their favorite. They understand cooking as a craft. One that begins with the selection of fresh and high-quality ingredients from the region and only ends when the guests are satisfied and satisfied when they lean back. That is why special emphasis is placed on cooperation with regional producers. Domestic products, which land on the plates without long journeys, not only taste particularly fresh and delicious, but also support regional agriculture and the environment. At the top of the list is the claim to provide guests with a fine taste experience from fresh, high-quality food. For example the hand-scraped Spätzle: For the guests the kitchen scrapes Spätzle with the Spätzle board and scraper almost daily. Or the Swabian-style beef roulade: hand-scraped noodles are combined with Mediterranean-style paprika vegetables. The ambiance is a mixture of old and new. The industrial monument combines history and modernity: the old lathes are now tables. The old beams convey a touch of the past.
A special highlight is the banquet hall - the former carpentry workshop. A light-flooded room that is open up to the gable, floor-to-ceiling windows that direct the view directly to the deep blue Lake Constance... With exposed concrete, black steel and natural wood, the room combines past and present, stylish and stylish, craftsmanship and nature and offers the perfect setting for a celebration.
In the first slip hall of the Bodan shipyard from 1925 - hall 1 - is the "stage for the region". On this lake stage, you can lean back and enjoy what cultural creators have to offer. Opened on one side to the lake, the stage provides a unique open-air ambience. An attractive cultural program fills the stage from May to September: For popular artists from the beautiful homeland, but also national artists or as an "open stage stage" open to everyone. Hall 1 is also a meeting place: Here, walkers meet interested people, cyclists meet visitors to the shipyard. During opening hours, the passage from the lake promenade to Bodanplatz is open to everyone. Anyone who wants to linger can stock up on drinks and small snacks at the issuing point or explore the small but fine museum of shipyard history. Public toilets are also available.
