Description
The most striking feature of this beautiful trail is, as the name suggests, the forest. Numerous nature trails invite you to learn more about the sensitive öcosystem. Historic sites are also passed, such as the Adelberg monastery, which can look back on an eventful history. In the Nassach valley, you can watch one of the last active craftsmen at work, and for spontaneous visitors there is a round-the-clock wedding service in Rechberghausen.

Directions
The östliche Schurwaldroute can be ridden in both directions. After starting in Uhingen, the route first goes via Wangen in the direction of Rechberghausen. There the cycle route turns onto the railway track of the former Hohenstaufen railway in the direction of Wäschenbeuren. After a short section along the B297, the route continues along the idyllic Königsträßle in the direction of Adelberg. The route continues through the Schurwald forest via Schlichten and Baiereck down into the Nassach valley. The cycle path leads into the Filstal valley and runs parallel to the tracks back to Uhingen station.
