Hohenzollern Cycle Route - Stage 5: Sigmaringen to Bodman-Ludwigshafen
Mittel
Looking into the gardens of princes and counts? That's possible on the next stage of the Hohenzollern Cycle Route. From Sigmaringen, the route leads to the Princely Park Inzigkofen. The gardens, used by the princely family as a "green salon", offer a panoramic view from the amalia rock, an avenue of lime trees and a pedestrian suspension bridge. The tour continues to Meßkirch Castle from the 16th century. Today, art, philosophy and old-timers have moved into the rooms of the defiant white building in various exhibitions. In summer, the bathing lakes in Sauldorf offer a rewarding way to cool off. At the destination, Bodman Castle awaits the tour riders; although it cannot be visited, it has an English garden that is open to the public. During the stage, the cycle path visibly descends from the mountain ranges of the Alb to the plains around Lake Constance.
