Kinzigtal cycle path from Freudenstadt to Offenburg
Mittel
The Kinzigtal cycle path has a length of approx. 95 km from Freudenstadt to Offenburg. For the most part, it leads along its own separate cycle paths and includes only a few short sections in busy village through-roads, which instead invite you to take a break with bistros, cafés, ice cream parlours and restaurants.

Beschreibung
We recommend cycling the Kinzigtal cycle path from the source to the mouth, so that you can enjoy the greatest differences in altitude on the first 24.5 kilometres between Freudenstadt (720 m above sea level) and Alpirsbach (440 m above sea level) on a brisk, beautiful descent. Of course, you can also cycle the cycle path from the mouth to the source, but you have to cope with considerable ascents and descents.
The rest of the route is now a steady, gentle downhill. For example, on the 48 kilometres between Wolfach (264 m above sea level) and Offenburg (160 m above sea level) you have a "pot-flat" route, ideal for families and touring cyclists. By the way, you cycle mostly on asphalt paths, a few sections have well-maintained water-bound path surfaces.
Please note:
"The Kinzigtal cycle path runs largely on asphalted routes, a few sections have well-maintained water-bound path surfaces far from motor roads. However, a section near Schenkenzell and between Schiltach and Halbmeil runs alongside a busy road. A rerouting of the route is already in progress. For families with small children, we therefore recommend planning a little more time here and being particularly careful or, alternatively, comfortably bypassing the route by train."
