Description
The Löwenpfad trail “Berta-Hörnle-Tour” in Bad Boll has been certified by the German Hiking Association. It comprises 14.5 kilometres, starting at the car park “Pappelweg” in Bad Boll. The trail passes the nature path “Sinneswandel” with its various adventure stations, then leading to our award-winning quality trail “Albtraufgänger”. The trail passes the “Tempele”. At the Tempele you get wonderful views across the lower Fils valley and the three Emperor-Mountains. The route then slightly ascends and reaches the observation point Hörnle with yet another facinating view.
Going further uphill to the Kornberg Mountain and along the grove you will reach Kornberghütte, a place that serves food on the weekends and worth a stop. Heading north along the Albtrauf you will arrive at the remains of Castle Bertaburg. Hiking downhill again, you will reach Boller Heide where the trail meets the Albtraufgänger hiking trail again. Passing the silver-leaved poplar you will end the route at the starting point.
