The tour starts in front of the Tourist Information office at the main railway station. From there, you cycle through the Schwetzingerstadt district and past the Kunsthalle to the water tower, the city’s most notable landmark located on Friedrichsplatz. Here we suggest taking a photo with a model of the first Benz motorcar, another “moving” Mannheim invention. The path continues through the venerable Oststadt district to the Neckar. Along the river, the Neckartal Cycle Path guides you into the city’s central squares, which lead to the largest baroque palace in Germany.
