Description
The scenic valley tour begins at the Blautopf in Blaubeuren, the most beautiful karst spring in Germany. You cycle leisurely through the Blautal valley to Blaustein and then branch off into the Kleine Lautertal valley.
In Lautern the challenging part of the tour begins and it goes steadily uphill to Berghülen, Laichingen and Heroldstatt. After this exertion we are rewarded with the wonderful descent through the gorge-like Tiefental, on the slope of which the Sontheim Cave opens up. Finally, we return to Blaubeuren via the Achtal valley.
Train connections in Blaubeuren, Gerhausen and Herrlingen.
