Beschreibung
If you want to experience the Württemberg wine landscape on almost 500 kilometers, the Württemberger Weinstraße is just the right place for you.
Whether on the entire route or on a section of the "Tour de Wein," the interesting themed road leads through all of Württemberg's wine regions and past many sights. Romantic castles and medieval fortresses tell of earlier times. Small, idyllic wine villages with beautiful half-timbered houses, historical art treasures in museums and atmospheric open-air theaters make the Württemberg Wine Route a real vacation experience.
Grapes mark the route
Starting in the north in Oberstetten in the Tauber Valley, the tourist road runs along the banks of the Tauber, Kocher, Jagst, Neckar, Sulm, Lein, Zaber, Schozach, Bottwar and Rems rivers to the outlet city of Metzingen at the foot of the Swabian Alb in the south. It winds through a lovely hilly landscape characterized by rivers, vineyards and forests.
Stuttgart: the only state capital with vineyards all the way to its vibrant center
Stuttgart lives up to its reputation as the "city between forests and vines": thanks to its unique location in the valley basin, the vineyards reach all the way down to the vibrant center near Stuttgart's main train station. There is a good reason why the Württemberg Wine Route runs right through the city center!
